so im sitting around with the old-timers just listening to them reminisce about days of past. turns out my grandfather fought in the indian regiment of the british army in germany during ww2.

when he was chosen to be presented with a medal for valor, he stated that he needed no medal, just the desire to perform hajj.

i found it interesting so i thought id share.
